Losing weight is not easy, not only do you have to work hard exercising, but you also have to watch your diet. These two reasons are key, but you also need to focus on changing your habits. As dedicated and devoted as you are, changing your life habits might be the most challenging thing you embark upon. Here is a small list of things you can do to change your habits and they will absolutely reflect on your health goals.
1. Eat three meals a day and have them planned out. Plan your meals and have a time when you eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and stay strict about when you eat. Over time, this will get your body in the zone and use to eating at a certain time. You will prevent yourself from starving and hopefully prevent yourself from binge eating when you are craving a snack.
2. Another thing you can do is not only plan your meals, but also have snack rations planned too. If you find yourself getting hungry from that long stretch from breakfast to lunch at work, why not have a baggie of grapes so you can curve that hunger and resist the temptation of unhealthy salty snacks? This will aid in not going off the path of your dieting. Aim for snacks with less amounts of fats and calories, but will still end with you feeling temporarily satiated before lunchtime.
3. Another good thing to do is drink plenty of water. Water is the most valuable resource on the planet and we take it for granted. Water can not only keep you hydrated, but it can help in making you full too. So it is important to drink a good amount of water as you eat, thus preventing yourself from overeating and hey, you might have leftovers for an extra meal saving you money!
4. Do not and I repeat, do not eat after dinner! This is the infamous time where people over snack and pack on those extra pounds. Instead of hitting that pint of cookies and cream ice cream, try drinking a bottle of water, or going to bed to resist the urge.
Also, brushing your teeth right after you eat dinner has been known to curve temptations of late night snacking. Just stay stubborn and dedicated, resist those urges to snack and overeat! You got this, and I believe in you!
