When it comes to trying to lose that weight, watching what you eat and going out and getting exercise are a complete given. While these two may be easier said than done, you can also help a lot by making some simple lifestyle choices. Here are some easier things you can do with exercise and diet to make a bigger impact on your fitness goals.

While you may be cutting unhealthy food out of your diet, you might want to start adding healthier choices of food. For example, in your bowl of cheerios, you might want to think about adding a type of fruit, like bananas and strawberries. Or you can start adding vegetables to your soup or as sides instead of having dessert. Just be sure you watch the calories of the items you are adding and maybe do some small exercise before, like taking a walk.

Which leads us to the next less strenuous thing you can do, walking. Not only will you be staying active but you will be able to take in the sites around you and the different season. Walking also helps with depression and will over all put you in a better mood. Try taking the stairs instead of riding the elevator and getting off the bus a few stops earlier for a nice brisk walk to the office building. It's quite easy to modify your life in this way and will keep you more active than those people you dread walking from the back of the parking lot.

Sharing is caring, how about instead of devouring that entire salad and redfish yourself at the restaurant, you split them in half with your friend or significant other? Cutting the portion of your meal in half will do the same with those calories and you won't have that super stuffed feeling that often leads you fatigued and sleepy. A bonus, it will also save you all some money. Instead of paying fully by yourself for a personal trainer, just bring a friend with you and split the cost. Not only will you save money but you will have a partner to keeping you motivated in your workouts and keep you focused on your diet.

Another great tip to help you with your goals is to set a schedule for yourself. Know exactly when to eat your breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and also have your snacks (bonus points for no cal snacks!) planned. That way you can know exactly when you will eat which will help you to avoid over eating.

These are just a few of many small lifestyle changes you can do to boost all the hard work you are already doing. Remember stay dedicated and stay positive!
